Peruvian is a classic Aran-weight 4-ply yarn made of 100% pure, new wool from Peruvian highland sheep, which are a cross between corriedale and merino. The sheep graze in the Peruvian highlands, which contributes to the wool's characteristic fullness and beautiful softness. Mulesing is not used on the Peruvian highland sheep.
Peruvian is worsted spun, which means that the yarn is round and extremely regular. This gives a nice stitch definition and makes Peruvian ideal for twists, textured knits and multi-coloured knits. Peruvian is suitable for all kinds of knitting and crochet projects for children and adults, and especially for felting. With 60 colours to choose from, the only limit is your imagination!
